The Close Nipple – NPT (Ref. 5404CL) is a compact, fully threaded pipe fitting used to connect two female NPT-threaded components in the tightest possible space. With no unthreaded hex or shoulder in between, this nipple allows for the closest end-to-end connection, making it ideal for installations with space constraints or minimal clearance. Precision-machined to ensure a leak-tight seal, the Close Nipple is threaded with NPT (National Pipe Taper, ANSI B1.20.1) threads on both ends and is available in sizes from 1/8” to 2” and 3mm to 50mm. It is manufactured from high-performance materials including Stainless Steel, Brass, Duplex, Monel, and Hastelloy, providing excellent corrosion and pressure resistance in critical industrial applications.
