A Block & Bleed Valve NPT (Male x Female) is a compact, high-integrity valve assembly designed to provide positive isolation and safe venting (bleeding) of pressure from systems. Featuring a male-threaded inlet and a female-threaded outlet, it allows easy inline installation and connection to instruments or process lines.
This valve type is essential for instrument calibration, maintenance, and pressure isolation in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, refineries, chemical plants, and power generation.
The Block & Bleed Valve (M x F) combines two key functions in one body:
- Block (Isolation) Valve – Isolates process pressure from instrumentation.
- Bleed (Vent) Valve – Releases trapped pressure safely to the atmosphere or a vent line.
It is often used before pressure gauges, transmitters, or pressure switches to ensure safe removal and servicing without shutting down the entire system.
- Connection ends: Inlet: Male NPT (typically 1/4″, 1/2″), Outlet: Female NPT
- 2-valve design: Single block valve and integrated bleed port.
- Bleed port: Typically 1/4″ NPT (or customized) for safe venting.
