The Back Ferrule is the secondary gripping component in a two-ferrule tube fitting system. Positioned behind the Front Ferrule, it plays a key role in holding the tube securely in place by providing strong mechanical support. When the Nut is tightened, the Back Ferrule is compressed and driven forward, locking the tube in position while allowing the Front Ferrule to form a tight, leak-proof seal. Specifically designed for use with METALOK-type compression fittings, the Back Ferrule ensures reliable tube retention without damaging the tubing surface. It is available in sizes ranging from 1/8” to 2” and 3mm to 50mm and is manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials such as Stainless Steel (SS), Brass, Duplex, Monel, and Hastelloy.
