The 3-Way Manifold Valve (Type 2) is a compact, high-integrity valve assembly used primarily with differential pressure transmitters. Unlike Type 1 (which typically includes 2 isolation + 1 equalizer valve), Type 2 manifolds include 2 isolation valves and 1 bleed (vent) valve, allowing for safe venting and calibration of the transmitter while maintaining process isolation. This valve is directly mounted to differential pressure instruments and is essential for use in pressure measurement systems in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, and power industries.
Function Overview
- 2 Isolation Valves: Isolate both high- and low-pressure sides from the process.
- 1 Vent (Bleed) Valve: Safely release pressure from the instrument side for calibration or removal.
This configuration is ideal when equalization between high and low sides is not required—for instance, in static pressure or single-sided measurement.
- Compact Direct Mount Design: Mounts directly onto DP transmitters (54 mm or 2-1/8″ center-to-center), Eliminates need for impulse lines.
- End Connections: Process: 1/2″ NPT Female
- Instrument: Direct Flanged Mount.
- Valve Type: Precision needle valves with non-rotating tips.
- Pressure Rating: Up to 6,000 psi (414 bar)
